Extended Campus
Beginning with the Preschool classes, the faculty make use of the remarkable physical and cultural resources in the area as part of "extended learning." We draw upon such institutions as the New York State Historical Association, The Farmers' Museum, the Biological Field Station, The Clarks Sports Center, the Cooperstown Library, and the Discovery Center at SUNY, Oneonta, to enrich out theme-based studies. Projects involving Glimmerglass Opera and the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum have also been developed.
In addition, Lake Otsego, the woodlands, the marsh ecosystem, and Oaks Creek provide valuable resources which help cultivate an appreciation of nature, a sense of stewardship for the environment, and responsibility to the community at large.
